Uzungol Tour Uzungol Tour. In 1989, 1,625 hectares of the land was declared as a Nature Park due to its rich flora, stunning wildlife and outstanding natural beauty. The most dominant tree species is the Eastern spruce. An impressive array of wildlife exists with species such as roe deer, wild boar, bear, badger, lynx, birds of prey, and trout as well as various kinds of reptiles. The most important river in the area is Demirkapi, and the Uzungol Lake was formed when a landslide dammed the Haldizen stream, flooding the valley. A spruce forest surrounds the lake, set amid an opulent plant life and a pleasing landscape. 10km south of the lake is the Norizca Mountain, with an altitude of 300m. There is a trekking route along the lake and pedalos are available for hire. The best time to visit the park is between April and October.
